Shober, Jr.; Judge John DiSalle; Controller Mike Namie; and Sheriff Sam Romano. Absent from the meeting was District Attorney Gene Vittone. udge John DiSalle arrived at approximately 11:33 a.m. Also present: Warden Ed Strawn; First Assistant District Attorney Dennis Paluso; Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Director of Administration Scott Fergus; Finance Director Joshua J. Hatfield; Human Resources Director Shelli Arnold; Chief Clerk Cindy Griffin; Deputy Controller Cathy Sams; Administrative Assistant.joyce Thornburg; and Observer - Reporter representative Barbara Miller. Mr. Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:31 a.m. Mr. Maggi asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. PB 4-3-19, dated April 3, 2019, each member having received a copy. It was moved by Mr. Namie and seconded by Mrs. Vaughan that Minute No. PB 4-3-19, be approved. The motion was carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval by stating 'Aye". PUBLIC COMMENTS None. WARDEN'S REPORT Warden Strawn presented the following information to the Board: Income from Other Units for the Maintenance of Inmates for March 2019 Administrative Fee $ 11,580.25 Social Security $1,000.00 Tylenol/Medical Reimbursement $139.13 + Monthly sub -total $12,719.38 Year-to-date grand total $37,176.33 Program Fees and Room and Board Income for March 2019 Billed Collected Work Release Inmates Weekend Inmates Monthly sub -total Year-to-date grand total Status of Inmates Confined at the End of March 2019 Full-time Inmates Work Release Inmates Weekend Inmates Unsentenced Inmates Awaiting Sentencing and/or Trial Total Inmates Examinations Performed by the Physician New Commitments Repeat Patients Medical Transports Performed by the Sheriff Contracted Housing Fee/Month Year-to-date grand total WARDEN'S REPORT $12,480.00 $11,439.00 $500.00 $500.00 $12,980.00 $11,939.00 $40,758.00 $37,355.00 Male Female Total 19 8 27 35 5 40 3 0 3 248 64 312 305 77 382 Male Female Total 43 36 79 12 67 27 $0.00 $0.00 Warden Strawn recommended to the Board, on behalf of the Washington County Correctional Facility, to approve the request to enter into a renewal agreement with the PA District Attorneys Institute (PDAI) for the maintenance and continuance of the PA Statewide Automated Victim Information & Notification (SAVIN) program. The program was provided to the correctional facility through the PA Commission on Crime & Delinquency grant (PCCD) funds for the purpose of victim notification. The SAVIN program automatically notifies a victim 24/7 of an offender's escape, 202 MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD IMR LIMITED E1316649LD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLANIA subsequent apprehension, date of release, wok release, etc. PCCD will pay 100% of the maintenance and service fees for 2019 with no cost incurred for Washington County. This agreement will be effective January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019. It is anticipated that this contract will be renewed for 2019 and subsequent years. A new renewal contract will be issued yearly with a change on the maintenance fee page. It was moved by Mrs. Vaughan and seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the Warden's Report. The motion was carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". BILLS Mr. Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval of the bills dated April 17, 2019, in the amount of $110,854.52. It was moved by Mr. Namie and seconded by Mr. Romano, approving the bills dated April 17, 2019. The motion was carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) OLD BUSINESS None. NEW BUSINESS None. There being no further business, Mr. Maggi declared the meeting adjourned at approximately 11:33 a.m. Judge DiSalle entered the meeting at approximately 11:33 a.m. Mr. Maggi reconvened the meeting at approximately 11:34 a.m. at which time Judge DiSalle called an executive session regarding a public safety matter.
