PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Washington County Prison Board
Washington, Pa., January 14, 1981
The Annual Reorganization and monthly meeting of the Prison Board of
Washington County met in the Commissioners' Conference Room at approximately
11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 1981, with the following members being
present: Commissioners Paluso, Gilmore and Mascara; Sheriff Fazzoni; and Con-
troller Stache. (,Judge Gladden and District Attorney Bigi later entered the meet-
ing.) Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Warden Taylor; Administrative
;Assistant Davis; Linda Hands, Secretary; and Bob Robertson of The Observer -
Reporter.
Chairman asked iftherewere any corrections, additions or omissions to
Minute No, 13-P, each member having received a copy.
Moved by Mr. Mascara, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, that Minute No. 13-P be
approved as read. Motion carried unanimously by vote cast by the Board signifying;
their approval by stating "Aye"',
REORGANIZATION:
Mr. Mascara recommended that the 1980 officers of the Prison Board be
reappointed for 1981; said officers include Sheriff Fazzoni as Chairman, Controller
Stache as Vice -Chairman and Commissioner Gilmore as Secretary.
Moved by Mr. Mascara, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, that the above -named Prison
Board officers: be approved for the year 1981, Motion carried unanimously by vote
cast by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
BILLS:
Controller Stache presented the bills for the month of December for the
Board's consideration and approval. Moved by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mr. Paluso,
:approving the payment of bills for the month of December. Motion carried unani-
mously by vote cast by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
WARDEN'S REPORT:
Warden Taylor advised the Board that when the Union contract is settled,
there will be some changes made in the scheduling of the jail guards.
He also advised the Board that the showers at the jail and some of the locks
are in need of repair.
(Mr. Bigi entered the meeting.)
(Judge Gladden entered the meeting.)
A brief discussion was held on the matter of relocating the jail recreation
yard.

Warden Taylor also reported to the Board that as of the beginning of 1981,
the Canteen Fund had a balance of $2,197.00; the balance at the beginning of 198
was $2,058.00. Mr. Taylor reported that the money would be put into a savings
account to earn interest.
Warden Taylor also stated that commissary would be held for the prisoners
five days a week instead of two.
