Washington County Prison Board
Washington, Pa., December 9, 1987
The Washington County Prison Board met for its monthly meeting in the
Washington County Jail, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being
present: Judge Bell; Commissioner Petrosky; Controller Beharry and Sheriff
Fazzoni. Absent being: Commissioners Mascara and Paluso; and District Attorney
'Pettit. Also being present: Acting Warden Pelzer; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II;
and Terri Warco, Observer -Reporter.
Chairman Petrosky called the meeting to order and noted that Minute No.
ll-P-87 would be held in abeyance.
Controller Beharry noted a correction on page 270 of Minute No. 10-P-87
dated October 14, 1987, where it was stated that "Commissioners Mascara and Paluso,
noted for the record that their "yes" votes were cast with the caveat that the
Controller is tracking the bills to make sure the items are not exceeding the
$4,000 bid requirement." Since Mr. Mascara was not present at that meeting the
notion should read "Commissioner Paluso noted for the record that his "yes" vote
was cast with the caveat that the Controller is tracking the bills to make sure
the items are not exceeding the $4,000 bid requirement."
.WARDEN'S REPORT:
Acting Warden Pelzer presented to the Board the following information:
Income from other units for maintenance of prisoners:

Total Work Release and Weekenders:
Weekenders billed $ 780.00 $ 860.00
Work Release billed $1,080.00 Received $1,100.00
TOTAL $1,860.00 $1,960.00
No monies were received from Resource and Investigations
$29.00 was turned over to Resource and Investigations

Sheriffs transported 14 prisoners
Regarding the invoice from the Department of Labor and Industry for dumb-
waiter services, Acting Warden Pelzer reported that he checked into this matter
and stated that he contracted Tom Zibrida, who is requesting a duplicate bill from,
"the Department of Labor and Industry to be sent to the Controller's office for
payment. Miss Beharry noted that she inquired about this matter also and that she
will accept the duplicate bill. Moved by Mr. Fazzoni, seconded by Miss Beharry,

to accept the Warden s Report. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying
their approval by stating "Aye".
BILLS:
Controller Beharry presented to the Board for their consideration and
approval the bills for the month of November in the amount of $12,392.19. Moved
by Miss Beharry, seconded by Judge Bell, approving the payment of the bills for
the month of November. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their
approval by stating "Aye".

There being no further business, Chairman Petrosky declared the meeting
adjourned at approximately Noon.
