Bills:
Controller Belcastro presented to the Board for their consideration
and approval the bills for the month of September in the amount of $25,813.87.
Sheriff Fazzoni made reference to the invoice from Work America (the bidder for
officers' uniforms) and stated that he is very displeased with the services of
this company, noting that Work America sent his office uniforms with other
counties' emblems on them and that none of the uniforms fit his deputies. He
also pointed out that his office has to go pick them up. Some discussion
followed. Chairman Paluso advised the Sheriff that he must document the
problems that his office is experiencing with this bidder. Lou Lignelli,
Director of Administration, suggested that Sheriff Fazzoni notify Nancy
Bielawski, Contract and Communications Manager, of these problems so that she
can notify the bidder in writing that their services are not satisfactory; and
then if the bidder does not comply, the County Solicitor can rule the bidder as
not being responsible.
Moved by Mr. Fazzoni, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, approving the bills
for the month of September as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the
Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached
hereto and made a part hereof.)
