Mr. Pettit went on to say that Sexton & Company wanted to know if the Washington County Jail would be interested in purchasing any of these items. Discussion was held regarding this matter. Commissioner Mascara suggested that the Board could send the company bid specifications, but unless the Board had a legal opinion to the contrary, the County could not circumvent the County Code which requires the bidding of items in excess of $10,000. The Board directed that Mr. Pettit have the company representative contact Warden Pelzer. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 11:40 a.m. THE FOREGOING MINUTES SUBMITTED FOR APPROVAL: ATTEST: SECRETARY 1992 1 1
