Washington, Pa., May 13, 1992
The monthly meeting of the Washington County Prison Board was held in
the 7th Floor Conference Room, Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington,

Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara,
Petrosky and Ford; Controller Belcastro; and District Attorney Pettit. Absent
being; Judge Gilmore and Sheriff Fazzoni. Also being present: Warden Pelzer;
Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Kathy Warco, Observer -
Reporter.
Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately
11:40 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to
Minute No. 4-P-92, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Belcastro,
seconded by Mr. Ford, that Minute No. 4-P-92 be approved as written. Motion
carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
Warden's Report:
Warden Pelzer presented to the Board the following
information:
Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for
April: None
Total Work Release and Weekenders:
Work Release were billed
Weekenders were billed
Amount received
$3,450.00
$2,560.00
$4,818.00
No monies were turned over to the Clerk of Courts for
collection.
Status of prisoners confined at the end of April, 1992:

Bills:
Controller Belcastro presented to the Board for their consideration
and approval the bills for the month of April in the amount of $43,787.74.
Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded Mr. Ford, approving the payment of the bills
for the month of April as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board
signifying their approval by stating Aye (See list of bills attached hereto
and made a part hereof.)
Old Business:
Warden Pelzer reported to the Board that with reference to the
executive session held last month concerning a personnel matter, the
Correctional Officer (C. Loughman) has resigned from his position at the Jail.
Warden Pelzer also reported that they have received the bunks to begin
the double -bunking project this week at the jail.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at
approximatley 11:45 a.m.
