Minute No. 10-P-92
Washington County Prison Board
Washington, Pa., October 14, 1992
The monthly meeting of the Washington County Prison Board was held in
the 7th Floor Conference Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania,
with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara and Ford;
Controller Bellcastro and District Attorney Pettit. Absent being: Judge
Gilmore, Commissioner Petrosky and Sheriff Fazzoni. Also being present:
Warden Belzer; and Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno.
Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order at approximately
11:35 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to
Minute No. 9-P-92, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mr. Belcastro,
seconded by Mr. Ford, that Minute No. 9-P-92 be approved as written. Motion
carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
Warden's Report:
Warden Pelzer presented to the Board the following
information;
Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for
September:
No monies were collected.
Total Work Release and Weekenders:
Work Release were billed
Weekenders were billed
Amount received
$3,030.00
$1,740.00
$3,774.00
No monies were turned over to the Clerk of Courts for
collection.

Moved by Mr. Bellcastro, seconded by Mr. Pettit, accepting the Warden's
Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their
approval by stating It AyeI f .

and approval the bills for the month of September in the amount of $25,537-37.
Moved by Mr. Pettit, seconded Mr. Belcastro, approving the payment of
the bills for the month of September as per above. Motion carried unanimously
by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills
attached hereto and made a part hereof.)
Old Business:
Chairman Mascara inquired as to the status of the meal situation for
Sheriff's deputies while they are guarding inmates at Washington Hospital.
Warden Pelzer stated that at last month's meeting Commissioner Petrosky had
made reference to a memo from Kathy Emery, Assistant Solicitor/Personnel
Director, regarding this issue which he wanted to review. Some discussion
followed. Chairman Mascara stated that he would talk to Attorney Emery about
this matter.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at
approximately 11:45 a.m.
