WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
Washington County Prison Board
Washington, Pa., September 15, 1993
The monthly meeting of the Washington County Prison Board was held at the Washington County
Prison, Washington, Pa., with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara and Petrosky;
Controller Belcastro; Sheriff Fazzoni and District Attorney Pettit. Absent being: Commissioner Ford and
Judge Gilmore. Also being present: Warden Pelzer; Linda Hands, Clerk -Typist II; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and
Linda Ritzer, Observer -Reporter.
Chairman Pettit called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m.
Approval of Minutes:
Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Belcastro, that Minute No. 9-P-93 be approved as written.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating 'Aye".
Warden's Report:
Warden Pelzer presented to the Board the following information:
Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for August:
-0- was billed
Total Work Release and Weekenders:
Work Release were billed $2,850.00
Weekenders were billed $2,320.00
Amount received $5,940.00
-0- was turned over to the Clerk of Courts for collection.
Status of prisoners confined at the end of August 1993:

Warden Pelzer noted for the record that the prison was inspected by the State Department of
Corrections last week.
Moved by Mr. Fazzoni, seconded by Mr. Belcastro, approving the Warden's report as per above.
Motion carried unanimously the by Board signifying their approval by stating 'Aye".
Chairman Pettit questioned Warden Pelzer on the amount of bracelets available. Warden Pelzer stated
that they have 20 bracelets and try to use between 18 or 19 and use one for a spare.

He added that they can go as high as 21 bracelets by just contacting the company to send another bracelet
which gives him more flexibility, if need be.
Bills:
Controller Belcastro presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the
month of August, 1993, in the amount of $26,149.10.
Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Fazzoni, approving the bills for the month of August, 1993,
as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See
list of bills attached thereto and made a part hereof.)
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at approximately 11:40 a.m.
