MASCARA, METRO PETROSKY, JR., JOSEPH A. FORD, COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 7-P-99 Washington County Prison Board Washington, Pa., July 13,1999 The monthly meeting of the Washington County Prison Board was held in the 7"' Floor Conference Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners J. Bracken Burns, Sr. and Diana L. Irey; Controller Belcastro and Sheriff Maggi. Absent being: Judge Gilmore, Commissioner Scott Fergus and District Attorney Pettit. Also being present: Deputy Wardens Brian Hammett and John Temas; Bill McGowen, Director of Administration; Michelle Miller, Chief Clerk; Mike Armenini, summer intern; Jill Devine, Assistant Solicitor; Joe Smydo, Observer -Reporter and Jim Jefferson, WJPA. Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 6-P-99, dated June 21,1999. Moved by Mr. Belcastro, seconded by Mr. Maggi, that Minute No. 6-P-99 be approved as written. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT Deputy Warden Hammett presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for June.1999: Other Counties (Fayette and Greene) $ 22,360.00 U. S. Marshal 400.00 Administrative Fee 2,677.96 Monthly Sub Total 25,437.96 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 123,150.90 Program Fees and Room and Board Income for the Month of June.1999: Billed Work Release/Home Detention $ 8,544.00 Weekenders $ 1,976.00 Turned over to Clerk of Courts (Minus) -0- Adjustments made to billings (Minus) -0- Monthly Sub -Total $10,520.00 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $64,976.43 Status of prisoners confined at the end of June, 1999: Full Time Work Release Weekend prisoners Home Detention Program Unsentenced prisoners Awaiting sentencing and/or trial TOTAL PRISONERS Collected $ 8,755.00 $ 1,932.00 $10,687.00 $65,007.44 MALES FEMALES TOTAL 74 15 89 54 1 55 26 7 33 1 0 1 105 12 117 260 35 295 0 1 1 MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA 0" o� z E LL r m m 2 CD .G E Q cc .7 I 1 • • MALES FEMALES Examinations performed by the TOTAL physician 99 30 129 New commitments 27 Repeat patients 102 Medical Transports performed by the Sheriff 3 Deputy Warden Hammett noted the Department of Corrections review will be discussed at the next Prison Board Meeting. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Belcastro, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". BILLS Controller Belcastro presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the month of June,1999 in the amount of $58,909.40. Moved by Mr. Belcastro, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the bills for the month of June,1999. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.)
