Bevec, J. Bracken 21 Q% M 0 m Burns, Sr. and Diana L. Irey; Sheriff Larry Maggi; Deputy Controller Mike Namie; District ,attorney John Pettit; and D e p u t y Cr a Warden Perna Y« Absent being: Judge Gilmore. Also present: Michelle Miller, Chief Clerk; Debbie Kraf, a Secretary; and Judy Chestnutt, Observer -Reporter. 0 Chairman Bevec called the meeting to order at approximately 11:40 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 7-P-00, dated July 16, 2000. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, that Minute No. 7-P-00 be approved. Motion carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT Deputy Warden Temas presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for Julv. 2000: Other Counties (Fayette and Greene) $ 8,040.00 Administrative Fee 1,758.57 Monthly Sub Total 9,657.08 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $173,548.93 Proeram Fees and Room and Board Income for the month of July. 2000: Billed Collected Work Release/Home Detention $ 9,131.47 $ 8,773.47 Weekenders $ 775.00 $ 775.00 Monthly Sub -Total $ 9,906.47 $ 9,548.40 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 77,276.37 $ 77,334.37 Status of prisoners confined at the end of Julv. 2000: MALES FEMALES TOTAL Full Time 81 2 83 Work Release 45 5 50 Weekend prisoners 16 3 19 Awaiting sentencing and/or trial 90 21 111 TOTAL PRISONERS 232 31 263 MALES FEMALES TOTAL Examinations performed by the physician 32 114 146 New commitments 29 Repeat patients 117 0 Medical Transports performed by the Sheriff: 6 Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". 144 MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA BILLS Deputy CQnti-ttller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the month of July, 2000, in the amount of $57,428.32. Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the bills for the month of July, 2000. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) There being no further business, Chairman Bevec made a motion to adjourn the meeting at approximately 11:44 a.m. Moved by Mr. Burns, second by Mr. Maggi, to adjourn.
