Bevec, Diana 0 m m aIrey and J. Bracken Burns, Sr.; District Attorney John Pettit; Sheriff Larry Maggi; Controller Paul Belcastro. Absent cc 51 being: Judge Gilmore. Also being present: Warden Joe Pelzer; Cathi Kresh, Chief Clerk; Solicitor Richard DiSalle; Linda Belcher, Secretary; Michelle Miller, Director of Human Resources; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; and Judy Chestnutt, Observer -Reporter. Chairman Pettit called the meeting to order at approximately 11:45 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 10-P-00, dated October 25, 2000. Moved by Mr. Belcastro, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that Minute No. 10-P-00 be approved. Motion carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT `Varden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for October, 2000: Other Counties (Greene) $ 6,320.00 U. S. Marshall 5,300.00 U. S. Army -0- Administrative Fee 1,244.27 Monthly Sub Total 12,864.27 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 213,988.77 Program Fees and Room and Board Income for the month of October, 2000: Billed Collected Work Release/Home Detention $ 6,950.90 $ 6,896.90 Weekenders $ 1,135.00 $ 1,135.00 Monthly Sub -Total $ 8,085.90 $ 8,031.90 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 106,986.27 $107,217.27 Status of prisoners confined at the end of October, 2000 MALES FEMALES TOTAL Full Time 78 6 84 Work Release 39 5 44 Weekend prisoners 16 5 21 Awaiting sentencing and/or trial 99 15 144 TOTAL PRISONERS 232 31 263 MALES FEMALES TOTAL Examinations performed by the physician 136 37 173 - yew commitments 35 Repeat patients 138 Medical Transports performed by the Sheriff: 8 Moved by Mr. Belcastro, seconded by Mr. Bevec, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA BILLS -ontroller Belcastro presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the month of October, 2000 in the amount of $52,140.75. Moved by Mr. Belcastro, seconded by Mr. Bevec, approving the bills for the month of October, 2000. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) NEW BUSINESS Warden Pelzer reported he is still formally working on an agreement with Allegheny County jail to assist in the overcrowding at their facility. (At this time an Executive Session was held to discuss a personnel matter.) ''he meeting reconvened.
