Bevec, Diana Irey and J. Bracken Burns, Sr.; District Attorney John Pettit; Sheriff Larry Maggi; Controller Paul Belcastro. Absent a a being: Judge Gilmore. Also being present: Warden Joe Pelzer; Cathi Kresh, Chief Clerk; Solicitor Richard DiSalle; Linda Belcher, Secretary; Jim Jefferson, WJPA and Judy Chestnutt, Observer -Reporter. 1 0 • Chairman Pettit called the meeting to order at approximately 11:40 a.m. and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No.11-P-00, dated November 22, 2000. Moved by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mrs. Irey, that Minute No. 11-P-00 be approved. Motion carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for November, 2000: Other Counties (Greene) $ 2,480.00 U. S. Marshall 9,700.00 U. S. Army 300.00 Administrative Fee 1,210.73 Monthly Sub Total 13,690.73 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 227,679.50 Program Fees and Room and Board Income for the month of November, 2000: Billed Collected Work Release/Home Detention $ 8,291.00 $ 8,216.00 Weekenders $ 1,349.00 $ 1,349.00 Monthly Sub -Total $ 9,640.00 $ 9,565.00 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 116,626.27 $116,782.27 Status of prisoners confined at the end of November, 2000 MALES FEMALES TOTAL Full Time 71 7 78 Work Release 36 6 42 Weekend prisoners 16 5 21 Awaiting sentencing and/or trial 124 20 144 TOTAL PRISONERS Examinations performed by the physician New commitments Repeat patients 247 38 285 MALES FEMALES TOTAL 136 18 154 Medical Transports performed by the Sheriff: 9 27 127 Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Bevec, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". An MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA BILLS Controller Belcastro presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for November, 2000 in the amount of $43,783.93. Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the bills for November, 2000. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) OLD BUSINESS Chairman Pettit brought to the Board's attention the matter of an Executive Session that was held last month pertaining to a personnel matter and suggested an Executive Session be called at this time to further discuss the matter. The meeting reconvened.
