Bevec, Diana L. a Irey and J. Bracken Burns, Sr.; District Attorney John Pettit; Deputy Controller Mike Namie and Sheriff Larry Maggi. a Absent being: Judge David Gilmore. Also being present: Warden Joe Pelzer; Cathi Kresh, Administrator/Chief C ° Clerk; Stan Mitchell, Assistant Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Judy Chestnut, Observer -Reporter; • and Jim Jefferson, WJPA . Chairman Pettit called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and entertained a motion to approve I i • 1 Minute No. 5-P-01, each member having received a copy. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Bevec, that Minute No. 5-P-01 be approved as written. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for May. 2001: Other Counties $ -0- U. S. Marshall 5,950.00 Administrative Fee 2,026.76 Monthly Sub Total 7,976.76 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 41,414.84 ProLyram Fees and Room and Board Income for the Month of May. 2001: Billed Collected Work Release $11,255.00 $ 11,345.00 Weekenders $1,815.00 $ 1,815.00 Turned over to Clerk of Courts (Minus) -0- Adjustments made to billings (Minus) -0- Monthly Sub -Total $13,070.00 $13,160.00 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $58,324.10 $58,511.10 Status of prisoners confined at the end of May. 2001: Full Time Work Release Weekend prisoners Unsentenced prisoners Awaiting sentencing and/or trial TOTAL PRISONERS MALES FEMALES TOTAL 85 10 95 42 5 47 17 5 22 120 16 136 264 36 300 MALES Examinations performed by the physician 109 New commitments Repeat patients Medical Transports performed by the Sheriff 19 FEMALES TOTAL 43 152 29 123 161111 MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Bevec, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion 0 carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". BILLS Deputy Controller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the month of April, 2001 in the amount of $61,194.55. Moved by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving the bills for the month of May, 2001. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) OLD BUSINESS , Chairman Pettit called an Executive Session to discuss personnel issues.
