Bevec, Diana L. Irey and J. Bracken Burns, Sr.; District Attorney John Pettit; and Controller Michael Namie. Absent being: Sheriff Larry Maggi and Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca. Also being present: Cathi Kresh, Administrator/Chief Clerk; Richard DiSalle, Solicitor; Michelle Miller, Director of Human Resources; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Warden Joe Pelzer; Chief Deputy Sheriff John Rheel; Linda Metz, Observer -Reporter, and Jim Jefferson, WJPA. Chairman Pettit called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and entertained a motion to approve Minute No. 2-P-03. Moved by Mr. Bevec, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving Minute No. 2-P-03 as written. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for Februarv, 2003: Fayette County $ 1,072.12 Administrative Fee 3,501.41 Monthly Sub Total 4,573.53 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 14,711.61 Proeram Fees and Room and Board Income for the Month of Februarv, 2003: Billed Collected Work Release/Home Detention $11,448.15 $11,918.15 Weekenders $ 3,834.00 $ 4,114.00 Turned over to Clerk of Courts (Minus) -0- Adjustments made to billings (Minus) -0- Monthly Sub -Total $15,282.15 $16,032.15 Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 31,643.55 $ 32,201.55 Status of prisoners confined at the end of Februarv. 2003: MALES FEMALES TOTAL Full Time 90 10 100 Work Release 44 3 47 Weekend prisoners 27 9 36 Unsentenced prisoners Awaiting sentencing and/or trial 143 16 159 TOTAL PRISONERS 304 38 342 MALES FEMALES TOTAL Examinations performed by the physician 104 35 139 New commitments 42 Repeat patients Medical Transports 97 performed by the Sheriff 7 Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Bevec, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". 212 MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA BILLS Controller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the month of February, 2003 in the amount of $64,067.72. Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Bevec, approving the bills for the month of February, 2003. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) OLD BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS • At this time, Commissioner Irey requested an Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter. The meeting reconvened.
