Washington County Prison Board
Washington, PA, May 14, 2003
The Washington County Prison Board was held in the 7tn Floor Conference Room, Courthouse Square,
Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners John P. Bevec, Diana L. Irey
and J. Bracken Burns, Sr.; Sheriff Larry Maggi and Controller Michael Namie. Absent being: Judge Debbie O'Dell
Seneca and District Attorney John Pettit. Also being present: Cathi Kresh, Administrator/Chief Clerk; Richard
DiSalle, Solicitor; Michelle Miller, Director of Human Resources; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Warden
Joe Pelzer; Randy Vankirk, Deputy Controller; Linda Metz, Observer -Reporter, and Jim Jefferson, WJPA.
Vice Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and entertained a motion to
approve Minute No. 4-P-03.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving Minute No. 4-P-03 as written. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
WARDEN'S REPORT
Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board:
Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for April, 2003:
U.S. Marshall $ 5,250.00
Administrative Fee 248.22
Monthly Sub Total 5,498.22
Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 32,426.42
Program Fees and Room and Board Income for the Month of April, 2003:

carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".

BILLS
Controller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the
month of April, 2003 in the amount of $85,036.95.
Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mr. Irey, approving the bills for the month of April, 2003. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part
hereof.)

There being no further business, Vice Chairman Burns declared the meeting adjourned at approximately
11:40 a.m.
