Washington County Prison Board

The Washington County Prison Board was held at the Washington County Correctional Facility, Cherry Way,
Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Diana L. Irey and J. Bracken
a Burns, Sr.; Judge Debbie O'Dell; Sheriff Larry Maggi and Deputy Controller Randy Vankirk. Absent being:

Clerk; Richard DiSalle, Solicitor; Michelle Miller, Director of Human Resources; Linda Belcher, Administrative
• Assistant; Warden Joe Pelzer; Ethan Weddell, summer intern; Vicki Adams, Commissioner Bevec's Office; and Linda
Metz, Observer -Reporter.

Vice Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and entertained a motion to
approve Minute No. 5-P-03.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving Minute No. 5-P-03 as written. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
WARDEN'S REPORT
Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board:
Income from other units for the maintenance of Prisoners for Mav, 2003:
U.S. Marshall $ 4,990.83
Administrative Fee 3,207.81
Monthly Sub Total 8,198.64
Year to date GRAND TOTAL $ 40,625.06
Program Fees and Room and Board Income for the Month of Mav, 2003:

Vice Chairman Burns noted a incorrect amount in the "Monthly Subtotal" portion of the Warden's Report.

Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Judge O'Dell, accepting the Warden's Report with the modification noted in
the Warden's Report as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating
"Aye".
BILLS
Deputy Controller Vankirk presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the
month of May, 2003 in the amount of $86,102.92.
Moved by Mr. Vankirk, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the bills for the month of May, 2003. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part
hereof.) 0

None
There being no further business, Vice Chairman Burns declared the meeting adjourned at approximately
11:40 a.m.
