The Washington County Prison Board was held at the Washington County Correctional Facility, Cherry Way,
m Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Diana L. Irey and J. Bracken

Burns, Sr.; Judge Debbie O'Dell; District Attorney John Pettit and Controller Michael Namie. Absent being: Sheriff

Larry Maggi. Also being present: Cathi Kresh, Administrator/Chief Clerk; Richard DiSalle, Solicitor; Michelle
° Miller, Director of Human Resources; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Deputy Warden John Temas; Joy
0 Sprowls, Sheriffs Office; Linda Metz, Observer -Reporter and Jim Jefferson, WJPA.
Chairman Pettit called the meeting to order at approximately noon and entertained a motion to approve Minute
No. 6-P-03.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving Minute No. 6-P-03 as written. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
WARDEN'S REPORT
Deputy Warden Temas presented the following information to the Board:
Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for June, 2003:

unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".

BILLS
Controller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the
month of June, 2003 in the amount of $72,865.44.
Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the bills for the month of June 2003. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part
hereof.)
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Deputy Warden Temas requested Chairman Pettit call an executive session to discuss a personnel issue.
Meeting reconvened.
Chairman Pettit noted discussion was held regarding an employee planning to resign or possibly being
considered for termination from the correctional facility. He stated the union has requested the Board table this action
for further review.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, to table this issue for further review as per the request of the
Teamsters Local 205.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
There being no further business, Chairman Pettit declared the meeting adjourned at approximately
12:25 P.M.
