Bracken Burns, Sr. and Diana L. Irey, President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca; District Attorney John Pettit; Controller Michael Namie; and Sheriff John Rheel. Also being present: Warden Joe Pelzer; c ° Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Michelle Miller, Director of Human Resources; Linda Belcher, • Administrative Assistant; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter, and Jim Jefferson, WJPA. Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and entertained nominations for Chairman, Vice -Chairman and Secretary. Board. Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Pettit, to nominate Commissioner Maggi as Chairman of the Prison Moved by Mr. Pettit, seconded by President Judge O'Dell Seneca, to nominate Commissioner Burns as Vice Chairman of the Prison Board. (Commissioner Irey and Warden Pelzer entered the meeting.) "Aye". Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Rheel, to nominate Mr. Namie as Secretary of the Prison Board. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval for the foregoing nominations by stating Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by President Judge O'Dell Seneca, to close nominations. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". MEETING DATES AND TIMES It was the consensus of the Board that the Prison Board will meet at 11:30 a.m. on the dates listed below which • coincide with the same week of a bi-weekly meeting of the Board of Commissioners: January 12 July 13 February 9 August 24 March 9 (Jail) September 7 (Jail) April 13 October 12 May 11 November 9 June 8 (Jail) December 7 (Jail) • Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by President Judge O'Dell Seneca, approving the meeting dates and times as per above. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Maggi asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 12-P-04, dated December 15, 2003. za6 MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Moved by Mr. Burns, seconded by Mr. Namie, that Minute No. 12-P-04 be approved as written. Motion carried 0 unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". WARDEN'S REPORT Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board: Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for December, 2004: Tylenol Deductions for 2004 $ 882.13 U S. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". BILLS Controller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the month of December, 2004 in the amount of $61,913.27. Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mr. Burns, approving the bills for the month of December, 2004. Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part hereof.) OLD BUSINESS None MINUTE BOOK PRISON BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA •M NEW BUSINESS zPresident Judge O'Dell Seneca reported to the Board that some discussion was held regarding the Mental E LL Health Court combining with Drug Court and that is off the ground initially and in the pilot program. She also stated m Judge Pozonsky recently met with Bob Harms, Director of Mental Health/Mental Retardation, and they are working on that now. President Judge O'Dell noted she would keep the board posted on any updates.
