The Annual Reorganization and monthly meeting of the Washington County Prison Board was held in the 7cn
Floor Conference Room, Courthouse Square, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present:
0 Commissioners Larry Maggi, J. Bracken Burns, Sr. and Diana L. Irey, President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca; District
Cc
Attorney John Pettit; Deputy Controller Randy Vankirk; and Sheriff Sam Romano. Also being present: Warden Joe
Pelzer; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Michelle Miller, Director of Human Resources; Linda
Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter, and
Jim Jefferson, WJPA.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:35 a.m. and entertained nominations for
Chairman, Vice -Chairman and Secretary.
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Burns, to nominate Commissioner Maggi as Chairman of the Prison
Board.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Mr. Pettit, to nominate Commissioner Burns as Vice Chairman of the Prison
Board.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
Moved by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mrs. Irey, to nominate Mr. Namie as Secretary of the Prison Board.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval for the foregoing nominations by stating
"Aye".
MEETING DATES AND TIMES
It was the consensus of the Board that the Prison Board will meet at 11:30 a.m. on the dates listed below which
coincide with the same week of a bi-weekly meeting of the Board of Commissioners:
January 18 July 19
February 15 August 16
March 15 (Jail) September 20 (Jail)
April 19 October 18
May 17 November 15
June 14 (Jail) December 20 (Jail)
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Maggi asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 12-P-05, dated
December 7, 2004.
Moved by Judge O'Dell Seneca, seconded by Mrs. Irey, that Minute No. 12-P-05 be approved as written.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".

month of December, 2005 in the amount of $121,116.00.
Moved by Mr. Vankirk, seconded by Judge O'Dell Seneca, approving the bills for the month of December, 2005.
Motion carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto
and made a part hereof.)
