Washington County Prison Board
Washington, PA, May 17, 2006
The Washington County Prison Board was held in the 7th Floor Conference Room, Courthouse Square,
Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken Burns
and Diana Irey; President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca; Controller Michael Namie; and Sheriff Sam Romano. Absent
being: District Attorney John Pettit.
Also being present: Warden Joe Pelzer; Scott Fergus, Director of Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk;
Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; Tim McCullough, Director of Human Resources;
Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter, and Jim Jefferson, WJPA.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:33 a.m. and entertained a motion to approve
Minute No. 4-P-06.
Moved by Judge O'Dell Seneca, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving Minute No. 4-P-06 as written. Motion
carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".

WARDEN'S REPORT
Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board:
Income from other units for the maintenance of prisoners for April. 2006:

NEW BUSINESS
Warden Pelzer informed the Board that the Department of Corrections would be conducting their inspection of
the facility.
Chairman Maggi reminded the Board that the monthly meeting scheduled in August would begin at
2:00 p.m. instead of the regularly scheduled time of 10:00 a.m.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting adjourned at approximately 11:40 a.m.
