The Washington County Prison Board met in the 71" floor conference Room, Courthouse Square Office
vBuilding, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Bracken
aBurns and Diana Irey; President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca; and Controller Michael Namie. Absent being; Sheriff
Sam Romano and District Attorney John Pettit. Also being present: Warden Joe Pelzer; Scott Fergus, Director of
Administration; Mary Helicke, Chief Clerk; Lynn DeHaven, Solicitor; Linda Belcher, Administrative Assistant; and
Barbara Miller, Observer -Reporter.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 11:30 a.m. and entertained a motion to approve
Minute No. 3-P-07.
Moved by Judge O'Dell Seneca, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving Minute No. 3-P-07 as written. Motion
carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".

WARDEN'S REPORT
Warden Pelzer presented the following information to the Board:

Moved by Mrs. Irey, seconded by Judge O'Dell Seneca, accepting the Warden's Report as per above. Motion
carried unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye".
BILLS
Controller Namie presented to the Board for their consideration and approval the bills for the
month of March 2007 in the amount of $87,645.98.
Moved by Mr. Namie, seconded by Mrs. Irey, approving the bills for the month of March 2007. Motion carried
unanimously by the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye". (See list of bills attached hereto and made a part
hereof.)
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS
Warden Pelzer informed the Board that a former inmate, John Liggett, who scored high on the high school
diploma equivalency test will be recognized next month by the state Department of Education in Harrisburg. He noted
since the program started at the correctional facility in 1997 there have been 89 inmates who have received their GED.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting adjourned at approximately 1:15 p.m.
