Salary Board Minute No. SB 10-3-19 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., October 3, 2019
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following
members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr. and
Controller Mike Natnie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Cynthia Griffin;
Secretary Paula Jansante; Executive Secretary Randi Marodi; Finance Director Josh Hatfield; Human
Resources Director Shelli Arnold; District Attorney Eugene Vittone; and Observer -Reporter Publishing Co.
representative Barbara Miller.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:34 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 9-5-19 dated
September 5, 2019, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT

FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
COURTS
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Court Administrator;
Senior Law Clerk/PFA Coordinator; $45,603.71/year; abolish one (1) full-time salaried position effective
10/3/19.
Mrs. Vaughan presented to the board on behalf of President Judge Emery, Court Administrator; PFA
Coordinator; $42,500.00/year; create one (1) full-time salaried position effective 10/3/19.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY
District Attorney Vittone presented to the board, Office Manager; $47,762.13/year; abolish one (1)
full-time salaried position effective 10/3/19.
District Attorney Vittone presented to the board, Paralegal; Pay Grade 10-90%-$19.435/hour; create
one (1) full-time union position effective 10/3/19.
District Attorney Vittone presented to the board, County Drug Unit; Paralegal; Pay Grade 10-90%-
$19.435/hour; abolish one (1) full-time union position effective 10/3/19.

LEAVES OF ABSENCES —September 5. 2019 to October 2, 2019
Chairman Maggi noted for the record the following leaves of absences:
Christopher Burt, Certified Assessor II, FMLA medical for spouse, 09/09/19 to 10/18/19
Judith Klobucar, Treatment Supervisor, FMLA medical, 09/16/19 to 09/20/19
Aline Seaman, Caseworker II, FMLA medical, 09/11/19 to 10/11/19
Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2019 were incorporated into the Salary
Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2019 salary schedule book
may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:37 a.m.
