Salary Board Minute No. SB 10-17-19 Washington County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., October 17, 2019
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse
Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following
members being present: Commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan, Harlan G. Shober, Jr. and
Controller Mike Namie. Also being present: Solicitor J. Lynn DeHaven; Chief Clerk Cynthia Griffin;
Secretary Paula Jansante; Executive Secretary Randi Marodi; Finance Director Josh Hatfield; Human
Resources Director Shelli Arnold and Observer -Reporter Publishing Co. representative Barbara Miller.
Chairman Maggi called the meeting to order at approximately 10:45 a.m.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan, seconded by Mr. Namie, approving Minute No. SB 10-3-19 dated
October 3, 2019, as written.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Namie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Children and Youth Services, Program Specialist; $68,066.57/year; reduced to $55,000.00/year;
reduction in annual salary for one (1) full-time salaried position effective 10/17/19.
Moved by Mrs. Vaughan; seconded by Mr. Shober, approving the foregoing personnel request.
Roll call vote taken:
Mr. Shober — Yes; Mrs. Vaughan — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Mr. Nan -lie — Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
LEAVES OF ABSENCES —October 3.2019 to October 16.2019
Chairman Maggi noted for the record the following leaves of absences:
Brittani Berkeley, Casework Supervisor, Intermittent leave for self, 10/01/19 to 10/01/20.
Joseph McMillan, Custodial Worker, FMLA medical, 10/02/19 to 11/27/19.
Chairman Maggi stated for the record, items noted during 2019 were incorporated into the Salary
Book. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2019 salary schedule book
may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Maggi declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:46 a.m.
