OLD BUSINESS
Ms. Sloane requested to amend the August minutes to accurately reflect the vote to remove
her as Secretary of the Prison Board. Ms. Sloane also stated that she has not received an update
regarding a possible meeting with the Washington Hospital president to discuss perceived
overcharges from Washington Health System. Mrs. Vaughan responded that the Board of
Commissioners has a rescheduled meeting on the calendar with the president of the hospital. Ms.
Sloane stated that the Board of Commissioners does not have the back up to present at the meeting
with the hospital and Mrs. Vaughan encouraged Ms. Sloane to forward any documentation that
supports the allegations so the hospital has an opportunity to review and respond.
Mrs. Vaughan acknowledged the emails sent by Ms. Sloane requesting that the minutes from
August's meeting be amended and invited Solicitor Jana Grimm to respond. Mrs. Grimm stated that
she had been following the emails and that the response of Judge DiSalle was accurate. She further
stated that the minutes were correct and were unanimously approved by the Prison Board at the
September meeting and that there were no issues, objections, changes or additions raised at that time.
Mrs. Grimm stated that the matter is closed and noted that there was no violation of the Sunshine Act.
