MOTION BY SALARY BOARD MEMBER— To approve Minute No. SB 1-23-25 dated January 23,2025. Chairman asks for PUBLIC COMMENTS. MOTION—(made by Salary Board Member)To approve the personnel request found on the FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION chart. CHAIRMAN—NOTES FOR THE RECORD—All leaves of absence that occurred since January 23,2025 until the present are to be noted for the record. CHAIRMAN NOTES FOR THE RECORD—It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2025 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources. RECESS FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION - FEBRUARY 6, 2025 1 CURRENT REQUESTED DEPARTMENT CURRENT POSITION SALARY NEW POSITION SALARY NOTES Reduction in annual salary for one (1)full-time Children &Youth Program Specialist $58,349.50/year $55,000.00/year salaried position effective 2/8/25. Salary Board Minute No. SB 1-23-2025 Washington County Commissioners Washington,Pa.,January 23, 2025 The Washington County Salary Board reconvened in Public Meeting Room G-16 of the Crossroads Center at 95 West Beau Street,Washington,Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Nick Sherman,Larry Maggi, Electra Janis and Controller Heather Sheader. Also present were: President Judge Gilman,Administrative Assistants Heather Wilhelm, Casey Grealish and Randi Marodi and Chief Clerk Cynthia Griffin. Chairman Sherman called the meeting to order at approximately 10:27am. Chairman Sherman entertained a motion to approve Minute No. SB 1-6-25 dated January 6, 2025 as written. Moved by Ms.Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Sheader—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—Yes;Mr. Sherman—Yes. Motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT None. FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Courts, presented by Judge Gilman, to amend the Salary Board Agenda to reflect the courts salary increase request. Moved by Ms.Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Sheader—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—Yes;Mr. Sherman—Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Courts,presented to the board by Judge Gilman,Domestic Relations Hearing officer,increase in annual salary from $87,407.13 to $90,029.35 for one (1) full-time salaried position effective 1/23/25. Moved by Judge Gilman,motion did not pass due to lack of second. Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Probation Services,presented to the board Director of Probation Services,Deputy Chief Probation Officer,PO Supervisor, and Adult Probation Supervisor; 3%increase in annual salary for the full-time salaried positions retroactive to 1/1/25. Moved by Judge Gilman, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Sheader—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—No;Mr. Sherman—No; Judge Gilman—Yes. Motion carried. Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Human Services,presented to the board Fiscal Technician;Reduction in annual salary from $42 ,985.85/year to $37,661.93/year for one (1) full-time salaried position effective 1/23/25. Moved by Ms.Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing personnel request. Roll call vote taken: Ms. Sheader—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—Yes;Mr. Sherman—Yes. Motion carried unanimously. LEAVES OF ABSENCES January 6, 2025 to_January 21, 2025 Chairman Sherman noted for the record the following leaves of absences: Bowman,Bethany,MH Program Specialist II,BHDS, 1/15/25 to 1/15/26 Lampe,McKenna, Caseworker I, Children&Youth, 1/12/25 to 4/10/25 Smider,J. Patrick,Master in Divorce, Court Administrator, 1/14/25 to 2/28/25 Chairman Sherman stated for the record, that all leaves of absence that occurred since January 6, 2025 until the present are to be noted for the record. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any procedural errors in the 2025 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
