Minute No. PB 04-01-25 April 1, 2025
The meeting of the Washington County Prison Board was held in public meeting room G16 in
the Crossroads Building, 95 W. Beau St., Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being
present: Commissioners Nick Sherman, Electra Janis and Larry Maggi; Judge John DiSalle; District
Attorney Jason Walsh; Sheriff Anthony Andronas; and Administrative Deputy Controller Heather
Sheatler. Also present were Chief of Staff Daryl Price; Solicitor Gary Sweat; Human Resources Director
Andrea Johnston; Chief Clerk Cindy Griffin and Administrative Assistant Debbie Corson; Warden
Jeffrey Fewell; Correctional Facility Chaplin Mike Pierson, Deputy Warden Chris Cain and Major
David Coddington; Administrative Assistant Casey Grealish; Human Services Administrator Dr. John
Tamiggi and Deputy Administrator Tiffany Milovac; and Deputy Controller Brittany Mosco.
Mr. Sherman called the meeting to order at approximately 11 a.m. and Warden Fewell led the
meeting with an invocation.
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion to approve Minute No. PB 03-19-25 dated March 19, 2025.
Moved by Ms. Janis to accept the minutes as written. Mr. Maggi seconded the motion to approve
Minute No. PB 03-19-25 dated March 19, 2025.
The motion was carried with the Board signifying their approval by stating "Aye."

None.
BOARD'S RESPONSE
None.
WARDEN'S REPORT
In Correctional Facility news, Warden Fewell reported, as of this morning, April 1, 2025, the
facility had a population of 344 inmates. He noted that 43 were farmed out, half of which were females.
Warden Fewell respectfully requested the Prison Board approve a contract with Butler County
Prison to house incarcerated individuals at a rate of$60/day. Butler County currently has the same
medical, mental health and dental provider as Washington County. The Warden has contacted Beaver,
Green, Lawrence, Erie, Westmoreland and Allegheny counties to maintain appropriate population levels
in the housing units.
Note: This proposal is contingent on Board of Commissioners approval.
Warden Fewell then requested an executive session for litigation reasons.
Upon returning from executive session, Mr. Sherman entertained a motion to accept the
Warden's report as presented. Ms. Janis made the motion. Mr. Maggi seconded it.
The motion was carried unanimously with the Board signifying their approval
by stating "Aye."

There being no further business to be brought before the Board, Mr. Sherman adjourned the
meeting at approximately 11:07 a.m.
