Salary Board Minute No. SB 1-23-2025 rt Washington County Commissioners
Washington,Pa.,January 23, 2025
The Washington County Salary Board reconvened in Public Meeting Room G-16 of the Crossroads Center
at 95 West Beau Street,Washington,Pennsylvania, for the purpose of reconvening with the following
members being present: Commissioners Nick Sherman,Larry Maggi,Electra Janis and Controller Heather
Sheatler.Also present were: President Judge Gilman,Administrative Assistants Heather Wilhelm, Casey
Grealish and Randi Marodi and Chief Clerk Cynthia Griffin.
Chairman Sherman called the meeting to order at approximately 10:27am.
Chairman Sherman entertained a motion to approve Minute No. SB 1-6-25 dated
January 6, 2025 as written.
Moved by Ms.Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi.
Roll call vote taken:
Ms. Sheatler—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—Yes;Mr. Sherman—Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Courts,presented by Judge Gilman, to amend the
Salary Board Agenda to reflect the courts salary increase request.
Moved by Ms.Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing personnel request.
Roll call vote taken:
Ms. Sheatler—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—Yes;Mr. Sherman—Yes.
Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Courts,presented to the board by Judge Gilman,
Domestic Relations Hearing officer,increase in annual salary from$87,407.13 to $90,029.35 for one (1) full-
time salaried position effective 1/23/25.
Moved by Judge Gilman,motion did not pass due to lack of second.
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Probation Services,presented to the board Director
of Probation Services, Deputy Chief Probation Officer,PO Supervisor, and Adult Probation Supervisor;
3% increase in annual salary for the full-time salaried positions retroactive to 1/1/25.
Moved by Judge Gilman, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing
personnel request.

Ms. Sheatlex—Yes;Mr. Maggi—Yes;Ms.Janis—No;Mr. Sherman—No;
Judge Gilman—Yes.
Motion carried.
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Human Services,presented to the board Fiscal
Technician;Reduction in annual salary from$42 ,985.85/year to $37,661.93/year for one (1) full-time
salaried position effective 1/23/25.
Moved by Ms.Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi, approving the foregoing personnel request.

Motion carried unanimously.

Chairman Sherman noted for the record the following leaves of absences:

Chairman Sherman stated for the record, that all leaves of absence that occurred since January 6,
2025 until the present are to be noted for the record. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any
procedural errors in the 2025 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human Resources.
There being no further business, Chairman Sherman declared the meeting recessed at approximately
10:32 a.m.
