Washington, Pa., June 18, 2026
The Washington County Salary Board reconvened in Public Meeting Room G-16 of the
Crossroads Center at 95 West Beau Street, Washington, Pennsylvania, for the purpose of
reconvening with the following members being present: Commissioners Nick Sherman, Larry
Maggi, Electra Janis and Controller Heather Sheatler. Also present were: County Administrator
Daryl Price, Public Relations Director Nicole Ford, Court Administrator Dan Buzard, President
Judge Valarie Costanzo, Chief Clerk Cynthia Griffin; Administrative Assistant Debbie Corson;
Executive Administrative Assistants Heather Wilhelm and Casey Grealish.
Mr. Sherman called the meeting to order at approximately 11:09 a.m.
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion to approve Minute No. SB 5-7-26 dated May 7, 2026
as written.
Moved by Ms. Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi.
Roll call vote taken:
Ms. Sheader — Yes; Mr. Maggi — Yes; Ms. Janis — Yes; Mr. Sherman — Yes

FOR THE BOARD'S CONSIDERATION
Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Court Administration, presented to the
board by President Judge Valarie Costanzo, Juvenile Probation Monitor, $45,236.78/year, Abolished
two (2) vacant full-time salaried positions effective 6/18/26.
Moved by Ms. Janis, seconded by Mr. Maggi.

Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Court Administration, presented to the
board by President Judge Valarie Costanzo, Treatment Courts Coordinator, $73,500.00/year, Create
one (1) full-time salaried position effective 6/18/26.

to $42,745.00/year for one (1) vacant full-time salaried position effective 6/18/26.

Mr. Sherman entertained a motion, on behalf of Aging, presented to the board, Coordinator,
Pay Grade 8 - Base - $25.532/hour, Abolish one (1) vacant part-time position effective 7/1/26.

$74,782.46/year to $64,695.43/year for one (1) vacant full-time salaried position effective 6/18/26.

for one (1) fill -time salaried position effective 7/3/26.

full-time salaried position effective 6/18/26.

Mr. Sherman stated for the record, that all leaves of absence that occurred since May 7, 2026
until the present are to be noted for the record. It is the consensus of the Salary Board that any
procedural errors in the 2026 salary schedule book may be corrected administratively by Human
Resources.
There being no further business, Mr. Sherman declared the meeting recessed at
approximately 11:11 a.m.
